No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us. [John 1.18]
Well there you have it. Jesus has revealed God to the world.
It is simply pointless to try to look around or beyond Jesus to see God.
Everything mankind needs to know about God is evident for the world to see in Jesus.
God's nature, character, will, and desire are all manifest and on display in Jesus.
To be sure, there is much to learn about God in the Old Testament. However, we should not be too quick to form our opinions of God by the Old Testament without first comparing how those opinions are verified in the life and ministry of Jesus!
Father, thank You for Jesus. Thank You for You! Thank You for revealing all there is to know about You in Christ. Thank You for clearing up and bringing explanation of all the Old Testament descriptions of You in Jesus!
