No, O people, the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. [Micah 6.8]
Sacrifices? No. Do right, love mercy, walk humbly with God.
How did Jesus change this? Or did He?
Really, Jesus did not come to do away with the Law of God - He came to fulfill it.
But the Law still stands. For us, however, the only fulfillment of the Law is in Jesus.
So, we do right, love mercy, and walk humbly with God by Jesus Christ our Messiah.
God's rules have never changed (He does not ever change). However the protocol for relationship with God did change when Jesus came. We remain accountable to God for the Ten Commandments but the only fulfillment of them for us is in Christ.
In Christ we do right. In Christ, we love mercy. In Christ, we walk humbly with our God.
Father, help me every day to grow more fearful of You and less fearful of the world.
