Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.” [Isaiah 6.8]
This is a pretty simple exchange of question and answer. God asked "Whom should I send..." and Isaiah answered, "Send me."
How simple is God's call on the human life?
For face value, it is very simple.
For human reasoning, it is perhaps one of the most complex things ever.
For God, it is His calling card (if you will). God is constantly calling - constantly asking questions - not because He does not know, but because we need to consider what He is asking.
Has God called me? Have I responded affirmatively?
Father, help me to get rid of all the confusing stuff that keeps me from understanding your simple calling.
