After that generation died, another generation grew up who did not acknowledge the LORD or remember the mighty things he had done for Israel. [Judges 2.10]
A few days back, I wrote about our testimony. Specifically, it was our testimony of the great things God has done in our lives.
After the generation of Joshua died out, Israel lost (forgot) their testimony - their testimony of God's great power displayed on their behalf. This was in conjunction with failing to acknowledge the LORD.
Is there a connection between failing to acknowledge God and losing our testimony? Evidently so!
Really, the two are the same, but they are listed as two different things for a reason. They go together!
Acknowledging God and having a testimony of God go hand in hand. I gather from this that every believer should have both as part of their lives.
Perhaps we need to learn to speak up.
Father, forgive me for remaining silent in times when I should have acknowledged and testified of You!
