God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. [1 John 4.9-10]
Is it a coincidence that this scripture is part of the OYCB December 25 reading? All I can do is smile.
May our Father give each of us eyes to see and ears to hear God's wonderful message of love for us today and every day.

Father, I can hardly believe I haven't focused on this scripture on Christmas's past in reading the One Year Chronological Bible. But today I have seen it and I am grateful. Thank You.
