Big Words

Jesus traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness. News about him spread as far as Syria, and people soon began bringing to him all who were sick. And whatever their sickness or disease, or if they were demon possessed or epileptic or paralyzed—he healed them all. Large crowds followed him wherever he went—people from Galilee, the Ten Towns, Jerusalem, from all over Judea, and from east of the Jordan River. [Matthew 4.23-25]

So, was Jesus our example or not?

If not, then this passage of scripture is of no real consequence to us today.

If, however, Jesus was indeed our Light, the Light of the world, our model, teacher and example, then we are as responsible for the ministry Jesus demonstrated as He was.

Hello indictment!

Regardless of what I see in me, I want to strive to live my life in duplication of the life Jesus demonstrated. Big words. But, I would rather fail trying to be like Jesus than succeed trying to be religious.

Father, open my eyes to see the life of Jesus in the Gospels for all His life shows me about my own.
