The enemies of Judah and Benjamin heard that the exiles were rebuilding a Temple to the LORD, the God of Israel. So they approached Zerubbabel and the other leaders and said, “Let us build with you, for we worship your God just as you do. We have sacrificed to him ever since King Esarhaddon of Assyria brought us here.” [Ezra 4.1-2]
It is interesting that, in the midst of doing Kingdom work, there will be those who wish to participate who wish to do so not to benefit the project, but to thwart it. How devious a plot is that?
There must be therefore a great deal of discernment to understand and know who is for us and who is against us. If it happened is Ezra's day, it will happen in our day because good is still good and evil is still evil.
Father, as I (we) move forward with Your plans in the earth, please provide the wisdom needed to rightfully discern who is working with us and who is working against us...
