But now the men of Ziph went to Saul in Gibeah and betrayed David to him. “We know where David is hiding,” they said. “He is in the strongholds of Horesh on the hill of Hakilah, which is in the southern part of Jeshimon. Come down whenever you’re ready, O king, and we will catch him and hand him over to you!” “The LORD bless you,” Saul said. “At last someone is concerned about me! [1 Samuel 23.19-21]
The LORD bless you?
One thing is certain from this little passage of scripture: not everyone who says, "God bless you" is your friend. Not everyone who says this is up to any good.
Father, help us to understand truth. give us eyes to see the shallow remarks made by shallow people. Spare us from the intentions of wicked people cloaked in religious talk.
