Brace Yourself

Brace yourself like a man, because I have some questions for you, and you must answer them. [Job 40.7]

I think these are not the words one wishes to hear God speak!

When we get too proud, though, these are likely the words we will hear.

It is not hard to have a relationship with God. However, He will not tolerate pride. Pride and selfishness go hand-in-hand. God simply will not tolerate such.

Father, help me to be constantly mindful of the need to avoid pride and selfishness in my life.
