So if what I eat causes another believer to sin, I will never eat meat again as long as I live—for I don’t want to cause another believer to stumble. [1 Corinthians 8.13]
You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial. Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others. [1 Corinthians 10.23-24]
Here is Kingdom thinking: "Don't be concerned for your own good but for the good of others."
There is no doubt in my mind that the Apostle Paul was in a moment to true revelation as he was writing this letter to the Corinthians. He was expounding on the Kingdom principle of putting others first that Jesus made priority of.
The point is, nothing else really matters at all if we get it wrong toward other people.
Father, help me to get it right - the way I treat others.
