Where Else Could I Go?

Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey—riding on a donkey’s colt. [Zechariah 9.9]

It is apparent that Jesus knew about the book of Zechariah. Jesus quoted Zechariah in reference to Himself (13.7). But aside from this one passage that Jesus referred to about Himself, there are many other references in the book of Zechariah that very much spoke of Jesus (including the one quoted above).

There are many opinions about the Bible. Every person is responsible for their own estimation of the Bible.

Personally, I believe the Bible is all true or else none of it is true.

Each of us needs to settle in our hearts what we believe about the Bible - not because we are persuaded to hate it love it by our peers, but because we have interacted with it as an individual.

I find the Bible true because of the impact it has on my life. Yes, it may seem vague at times, but when compared to the pointlessness of human existence upon this earth without it, I will choose it every time.

I am not interested in refuting the Bible, but exploring it and experiencing it. I have only a short lifetime to do so and, I am afraid, I have already wasted a lot of time.

Father, thank You for the Bible. Thank You for the prophets who, even in sometimes vague references to Your Plan as revealed in Jesus, give me all the reason I need to believe in You and Your Son. Where else could I go? Nowhere.
