So my God gave me the idea... [Nehemiah 7.5a]
So, how do we know the will of God about things not specifically mentioned in the Bible?
While the question above has puzzled people for centuries, the answer may be more simple than we think. "God gave me the idea" may sound humanistic at first, but for the one who spends his time wisely learning about God from the Bible and praying to God faithfully, these words are not so out-of-the-norm.
Why does it have to be so difficult for the Spirit of God to speak directly to our spirits, and then, our spirits speak directly to our minds in the form of an idea? The answer is, it does not have to be so difficult.
However, it is worth stating again that while it is not difficult to receive an idea from God, it is imperative that our minds have have bathed in the Word of God and prayer in order for this simple transaction of knowledge to take place.
One is foolish to trust an idea if he or she has not been spending time with God first.
Father, help me to better obey Your directives about my relationship with You, understanding the impartation of Your Holy Spirit because of Jesus. Help me to walk in the simplicity of the ideas You impart to me as I do.
