Nations of the World

Then this message came to me from the Lord: “Son of man, turn and face the land of Ammon and prophesy against its people. [Ezekiel 25.1-2]

In today's OYCB reading, both Ezekiel and Jeremiah not only address God's chosen people, but surrounding nations as well.

The fact is, God has interest in all His creation. God has a plan for every nation on the planet earth. He always has and He always will as long as the earth remains.

Just as Israel fared well when they sought God and obeyed Him, so the other nations of the world fared well when they sought God and obeyed Him. However, much of what occurred in other nations was directly related to how those nations treated Israel.

How much did Jesus change this? How much did Jesus intend to change this?

Father I have left off writing today with questions I am unsure how to answer. I know You love Israel and that has never changed. I also know there must be blessing on nations today that love Israel. But the main thing I take away from today's reading is that You have relationships with all the nations of the world and will deal with each one according to their reciprocal relationship with You.
