Why would those who follow God ever think those who do not would 'get it?'
There is no reasoning with the world. God's people have only one course of action with the world and that is to show God's love. From there, if they accept His love, then He will reveal His justice. This is called the "conviction of the Holy Spirit."
God's people miss it when they think they can bring conviction into the hearts of unbelievers. Only God can do that.
In Romans 2.4, the apostle Paul makes the following observation:
Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?
It is an amazing thing - how this Grace for God works!
Father, thank You for this simple truth today.
