Yes, You

I am teaching you today—yes, you—so you will trust in the Lord. [Proverbs 22.19]

My, how circumstances can change in an instant. One minute everything seems to be going great, and the next minute it all comes to a screeching halt.

The "yes, you" part of the verse above spoke to me today like a glass of cold water being thrown in my face.

If we are trusting in circumstances, we are going to be disappointed. Period.

We need to educate ourselves (or perhaps more accurately stated, be educated by the Spirit of God) so that our trust is in Yahweh our God and not in circumstances. Circumstances will disappoint, Yahweh will not.

Father, forgive me for finding my peace of mind in circumstances.
