This, too, I carefully explored: Even though the actions of godly and wise people are in God’s hands, no one knows whether God will show them favor. The same destiny ultimately awaits everyone, whether righteous or wicked, good or bad, ceremonially clean or unclean, religious or irreligious. Good people receive the same treatment as sinners, and people who make promises to God are treated like people who don’t. [Ecclesiastes 9.1-2]
I am sorry, but I totally disagree with Solomon here.
Everything God ever said about life and obedience to Him involved blessings on the obedient and curses on the disobedient! Every description of God I can recall says He rewards those who seek and serve Him. Jesus said He provides every need for those who seek His Kingdom first!
So, Solomon's 'words of wisdom' here grossly lack insight into Who God is!
Father, I know You reward those who seek You.
