It is tempting today to simply write nothing. Today's OYCB reading is about Solomon's construction of palaces and furnishings for the Temple.
From what I read today, it would seem there were no limitations to Solomon's wealth. He seemed almost unlimited in his resources from which to build.
This all seems unimportant unless we consider that Solomon asked God for wisdom and God was so pleased that he promised wisdom but also blessed Solomon with vast wealth as an additional bonus for having been "people-first" in his request.
Father, if ever there was a Bible picture verifying Jesus' command to seek first the Kingdom of God, Solomon's story is it!
