“Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever.” [Revelation 5.13b]
It is leap year and the OYCB (One Year Chronological Bible) does not account for that (understandably so), so I went a little rogue today and read some in the book of Revelation. I wanted to know more about what goes on around the throne of God (because that is where I want to be spiritually speaking).
This is a lot of activity recorded in the book of Revelation. I am not sure of the time frame of all that is said and done, but I feel like there is a significant order to everything. That being said, the verse recorded above is a quote of "...every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea." [Revelation 5.13a]. This description seems to satisfy at least my presence on earth as a creature, so it seems right that I should join in this chorus at this time!
This is all coming from an ever-increasing awareness of my part in the Kingdom of God and subsequent desire to be as accurate in my devotion to and adoration of God as possible. It seems prudent to follow the protocol of what I find written about what takes place around God's throne.
May the Father help us all to seek Him first in our lives and devotion!
Father, blessing and honor and glory and power belong to You, Yahweh, on Your throne and to the Lamb, Jesus the Messiah, forever and ever!
