Kingdom love is sacrificial.
There is no real love that does not first give. There are a lot of emotions people call love, but most fail to meet the first test of true love: giving.
If Christmas is about only one thing, it is about giving.
Giving is, by nature, sacrificial. Giving is a Kingdom action. Giving that is proactive fulfills Jesus' instruction to "Seek first the Kingdom of God..."
Prayer for others' needs ahead of our own fulfills both the love-action of giving and the faith-action of trusting that our needs are met. Prayer makes and shows the way for actions that please God!
Father, help me to walk and live in true Kingdom love that first gives!
