He takes no pleasure in the strength of a horse or in human might. No, the Lord’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love. [Psalm 147.10-11]
Faith and faithfulness are the only things that move God.
Sometimes, we would do well just to meditate on this fact. It would serve us all well to stop our own efforts - our own toiling and laboring - our own concern and worry - and watch and see the LORD do His thing!
This takes effort though in and of itself. But the effort is to believe - not to do.
If only we spent as much effort to believe instead of to accomplish, I wonder how our outcomes would be?
Father, help me to believe. Help me to be faithful to You. Help me to build my confidence in Your unfailing love!
