In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. [Genesis 1.1]
Did He really?
As I read the Genesis account of creation again today, I found myself, once again, questioning the continuity of the chronology of events presented as creation fact.
Subsequently, I began writing what turned into several paragraphs that did little more than reveal my complete ignorance (and therefore confusion) on the topic. And so, I decided to scrap that thread of ideas and babbling to make an observation about myself here instead.
Spiritually speaking, I should just accept what I do not know and just believe the Bible. However, I still have questions that quite literally dog me for answers. I feel compelled to have answers for myself and others who share my sentiment, or worse, have no regard whatsoever for God or the Bible.
Is a New Year's Resolution appearing before my very eyes?
Father, I believe in You. You are real to me not just because I have made myself believe it, but because I have experienced You. I don't want to be wrong in pursuing answers to my questions - so help me to gain a right life-perspective that helps me to know You more and make You known more.
