Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” [Hebrews 13.5-6]
It always seems right to put and keep money in its proper place. I'm not talking about a safe or bank either... or maybe I am because money does not need any place whatsoever in our hearts. Perhaps the proper place then for money is in fact the bank or safe. That, of course, is if money is not at work elsewhere... (but not in the heart).
Father, help me to consider where money is in my life... and to be absolutely sure it has no residence whatsoever in my heart!
