My Hope

And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. [1 Peter 3.15b]

I once was lost, but now I'm found - was blind but now I see.  I have peace with this world and all that life in it affords because I know the God of this world.  I believe Jesus Christ (God in the flesh - the Son of God) lived and died and rose from the dead on my behalf that I might place my faith in Him in order to share not only in His life and death, but also in His resurrection.  I look forward to the consummation of all things and believe that all that is unknown now will be revealed at that time.  I firmly believe there is a reason to live a good life because I have been given so much grace and mercy.  My peace comes from knowing God and making Him known.  Jesus revealed the Father to me and to the world.  Life seems hopeless, useless , and simply depraved apart from Him.  In Him, however, life makes perfect sense.

Father, I want to know You and make You known in a way that pleases You!
