And so, dear brothers and sisters who belong to God and are partners with those called to heaven, think carefully about this Jesus whom we declare to be God’s messenger and High Priest. [Hebrews 3.1]
As I read today's OYCB reading, I found myself struggling to comprehend what was being said (except the ending of 2 Timothy). Hebrews presents some discussion of which I am sure we need, but I am unsure what that discussion is - it all seems to be presented, at least through the first part ( today's reading), in a less-than-flowing literary manner.
But I am sure of this: Hebrews is about Jesus - and the verse above clearly directs us to think carefully about Jesus. And that, is never bad advice!
Father, help me to consider Jesus today!
