In both Nehemiah and Malachi today, the writers are scolding people for getting away from God's ways. Mostly, the progression away from God was nothing different than we see today - a little here, a little there, until finally there is no resemblance to the original ways.
If we today are to "get back to God" what would that look like? Obviously, Jesus changed everything in regard to sacrifices and Temple worship, but He did institute a few ways worth paying attention to. What are those ways?
What are those ways? (worth asking a second time)
Father, help me to see the life and ways of Jesus as the model for me today. Help me to make the changes necessary to "get back" to You!
