It continues to amaze me how much was written in regards to the Babylonian captivity. Likewise, besides just Israel and Babylon, there were other players in this historical event, Egypt being one of the most mentioned.
The point I suppose is that God has plans much bigger than our own. His plans for individuals encompass greater plans for cities and even nations. It would be reasonable then to conclude that God has broadreaching plans for mankind as well.
I wonder how the world would be a different place if every person considered his or her role in the big picture?
