But those who die in the Lord will live; their bodies will rise again! Those who sleep in the earth will rise up and sing for joy! For your life-giving light will fall like dew on your people in the place of the dead! [Isaiah 26.19]
A lot of the prophecies of Isaiah are difficult to understand. Maybe I'm just dull... But these words of Isaiah are quite simple to comprehend! And they are full of meaning! Here we have a clear indication that God's people will be resurrected in a joyous event.
Interestingly enough, those who are not God's are not mentioned as rising again and certainly not rising again in any kind of joy.
Father, help me to remain mindful today that this life is not all there is to it...
