Know God - Make Him Known

I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices.  I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings. [Hosea 6.6]

To know God and make Him known - that is what the LORD desires of His own.

But what is it that Hosea points our stands between God and His people?  Religion.

The religious exercises of offering sacrifices and burnt offerings are not what the LORD desires!

Father, the message is clear.  You are more interested in relationship than religion.  Help us to change our focus on these things as well and cease from our meaningless religious exercises!
