My Worst Enemy

Teach me how to live, O Lord.  Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me. [Psalm 27.11]

It seems to be a pattern with David to ask the LORD for guidance on how to live.  If we could just get this one thing in our heads and do likewise!

So, if we'll just follow the LORD, everything will be fine, right?

We must remind ourselves that David still experienced some bad stuff - real bad stuff.  Was that stuff random threats by enemies or the result of David's disobedience?  Was David his own worst enemy?

Good question.

Father, help me to know Your ways.  Even though trials will come and go, let my commitment be fixed on You.  Help me not be my own worst enemy!
