Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good. It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones. [Psalm 127.1-2]
It is the LORD Who provides for His own. It is the LORD Who meets the needs of the faithful.
How do we we however distinguish between 'trusting' in Him and being lazy? How does one know when he has fulfilled his obligation of work for a given day knowing that God will provide even though he has quit for the day? How much work per day is enough?
The one who can answer the questions above is a wise and happy person!
Father, help us to understand our role in work and provision as it pertains to faith and faithfulness to You.
