What a confusing time for Israel (Numbers 19-21:35).
They continue to complain at every little difficulty. No one likes them. They are strong in battle.
Not to mention, the rules concerning the Tabernacle continue to grow in number during this time.
Furthermore, Moses and Aaron are getting older and Israel still has not entered the Promised Land.
All these are waypoints on the journey. Sounds like life to me!
I can sympathize with the Israelites in many ways: life is not always easy, I am often misunderstood or simply fail to do the right thing, I have seen great victories, sometimes "the rules" are overwhelming, and I am getting older.
However, the journey is not yet over.
Father, please help me to remain focused on the 'journey' without distraction from the 'waypoints.'
