Now whenever the cloud lifted from the Tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out on their journey, following it. But if the cloud did not rise, they remained where they were until it lifted. [Exodus 40.36-37]

Father, I am baffled by my own questions. Today, as I imagine what it would have been like to simply watch for Your cloud to tell me whether we were going or staying, I find myself wondering how it could be so difficult to know Your will. And, what's worse, is that You, by Your Holy Spirit, now live inside us and we still struggle to know Your will! What's wrong with us?
