How Blessed Are You?

But he gave none of the wagons or oxen to the Kohathite division, since they were required to carry the sacred objects of the Tabernacle on their shoulders. [Numbers 7.9]

I can imagine, when the clan of Kohath was selected to be in charge of all the sacred objects of the Tabernacle, that they felt pretty special.

I wonder how special they felt when everyone else was given wagons to haul their stuff in but the Kohathites were not?

There is an undeniable lesson here: With great privilege comes great responsibility.

It is easy to enjoy the blessings of the LORD.  But those blessings cannot be handled like any other old ordinary junk in our lives!  No, God's blessings require special handling!   We are responsible to handle God's blessings with the care and attention they deserve.

The application of this is vast - it all depends on just how much a person thinks God has blessed them with.

How blessed are you?

Father, I find this concept a bit overwhelming.  What do we have that You have not given us?
