If God is for us, who can ever be against us? [Romans8.31b]
It is leap year and leap day. The OYCB has no readings for today so I read Romans chapter 8.
What a great chapter just to read and ponder.
The verse above really sums up a lot in the life of faith. But it is all contingent upon one word: IF.
IF God is for us... But what if He is not?
The most important question one can ask himself is this: IS God for me?
What do I believe about this question?
Father, I believe You are for me. I believe You are concerned for me. I believe You care for me. I believe that no matter what I experience, and for whatever reason, that ultimately You are involved in my life and are drawing me to Yourself. I believe there is more to life than just this natural earth. I believe that death (as we know it) is not the end. I believe that we are in the midst of parallel eternities but only have this life to choose which we will be our own eternity (and with whom we will exist in it). I believe You. I believe in Jesus Who made this prayer possible.
