Simple

The OT reading today was quite depressing! I wonder if the people themselves recognized the error of their ways or if they were ignorant by and large. What I mean is, it is difficult for me to imagine they were ignorant of their ways - particularly since they were involved in human sacrifice (offering their sons and daughters in the fire) and sorcery. Its not like they apathetically slipped off into these practices. It seems to me they fully embraced idol worship... And yet, for many of them, they worshiped the Lord as well. How does that work?

I noticed the simplicity of Paul's message today in Acts 20.21: I have had one message for Jews and Greeks alike—the necessity of repenting from sin and turning to God, and of having faith in our Lord Jesus.

1. Repent from sin and turn to God
2. Have faith in Jesus

Father, as simple as it is, I find it difficult to comply. Please help me...
