Did the Samaritan woman actually become a Christ follower? If so, what indicated the change?
Was it because Jesus told her everything she ever did? Did that make her a believer?
It seems to my understanding that the woman never did actually get real with Jesus although she was impressed by His ability to "tell her everything she ever did." Subsequently, she recognized He could possibly be the Messiah - and that is the very question she posed back in town, "Could this be the Messiah?" But what about her?
If hers was a genuine conversion experience, there certainly were no "fireworks."
However, one thing stands out as a defining moment - she went and told others.
Hmmm...
Father, I am curious about the story of this woman and Jesus' encounter with her. If she indeed had a "conversion experience" it was certainly not a big emotional thing. Help me to see the real lesson here!
