In Luke's gospel in today' NT reading, there seems to be two different stories in the parable about the nobleman... One is the obvious story regarding stewardship among those who are in relationship with the nobleman. The other seems to be about those who were NOT in relationship with the nobleman.
Perhaps those out of relationship with the man (those who hated him) are mentioned for contrast. Perhaps their fate is detailed to give clarity to the fact that, although the unfaithful were scolded, they were not killed as were the "haters".
Regardless, I find renewed encouragement to seek ways to build the resources I have been given.
Father, I want to be faithful... In everything, I want to walk by faith trusting You completely for the outcome!
