But as he came closer to Jerusalem and saw the city ahead, he began to weep. “How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes. [Luke 19.41-42]
We have another biblical reference to Jesus weeping here today. Why? Because Jerusalem didn't "get it". And, because they didn't "get it" they had no relationship with God - they had no peace. According to Jesus Himself, events were already in motion that rendered Jerusalem's peace unattainable - destruction was imminent. They had no idea they had run out of time.
Father, I have no idea how much time I have. I want to respond to your Spirit TODAY! I want to respond to Jesus TODAY! I want to please You with FAITH - real faith - life-changing faith.
