For someone so "on the outs" with the Pharisees, it sure seems like Jesus hung out with those guys a lot! Even in today's NT reading, Luke records once again that Jesus was a dinner guest at a Pharisee's house. What gives?
Also interesting is the fact that the Pharisees warned Jesus (in what sounds like a 'protective way') that Herod was out to kill Him. WAIT! I thought THEY were out to kill Him! Huh?
Father, is there a lesson in Jesus' life regarding the amount of time He actually spent with the Pharisees?
