I wonder how often the Lord asks us, "Where's your faith?" The insinuation in today's NT reading (where Jesus and the disciples were caught in a storm while crossing the lake) was that the disciples should have spoken to the storm without even waking Jesus.
Really? Really.
I mean, was it not obvious the disciples' faith was in Jesus since they awakened Him? But it appears that Jesus wanted their faith to be bigger than only believing that Jesus alone could do miracles.
If we only believe that Jesus is all-powerful, we have fallen short of what God wants. We must remember that God wants us to come to HIM confidently because Jesus made the way! God wants us to walk in HIS power because Jesus made the way!
Father, I am becoming sick of excuses (we call them explanations) by myself and religious people why our faith is not evident in the way Jesus encouraged. And surely, some will read what I have written here and chastise me for being so foolish. But God, be glorified!
