Twice in today's NT reading the Pharisees wouldn't say what they actually thought because they were afraid of the crowd.
Crowd pleasers - something seems really wrong with that.
How much of what we "believe" today is simply crowd-pleasing doctrine? How much of what we do is actually that which is in our hearts as opposed to that which keeps us out of trouble?
Father, help us to truly live what we believe and not what just keeps everyone happy.
