The Cart That Brings the Apple (?)

Following more prophecies about other people groups, Jeremiah today addresses Babylon, the captor of Israel and Judah, with no uncertain doom. It makes me wonder how many times we think we are all high-and-mighty when, in reality, we are being utilized to carry out a higher purpose - we are simply a pawn in a larger game. Hmm. I guess there are no bystanders. Either we are the apple of God's eye or we are the cart that brings the apple. Is that right?

Paul begins his letter to Titus today. I envy the relationships Paul has with his people. In verse 5 of chapter 1 Paul reminds Titus why he left him on the island of Crete; to complete the work and appoint elders. Once again Paul outlines the qualifications for an elder and once again those stipulations are well-defined.

Evidently the Judaeizers had had some influence on with the church at Crete. Paul addresses the issue of circumcision again.

Thank you Lord for the relationships You have given me. Thank You for my domestic family. Thank You for my Christian family. Let my relationships bear fruit like the Apostle Paul's did.
