But Peter replied, “May your money be destroyed with you for thinking God’s gift can be bought! [Acts 8.20]
"It's a gift from God!" one says. That may be so. But, if it is, it will not be purchased with money.
For all those who genuinely believe God gave man debt, insurance, medicine and technology as gifts, I must ask - I must challenge them, "If these are gifts from God, then are they free?"
If these things can be bought, they are NOT gifts from God, but are rather substitutes of man's making. They are, in scriptural fact, God-damned idols worthy of destruction along with the money with which they are purchased.
Too strong? READ THE BIBLE! FOLLOW THE MONEY!
Father, nothing I have ever debated regarding the idolatry of debt, insurance, medicine and technology more implicates their idolatry than the fact that they are nothing more than money-making enterprises of man's device erroneously titled "gifts from God" by Bible-ignorant people. Help Your people, Lord, follow the money to see where they are in error. So be it.
