Jesus Is The Ark

Noah was 600 years old when the flood covered the earth. He went on board the boat to escape the flood—he and his wife and his sons and their wives. With them were all the various kinds of animals—those approved for eating and for sacrifice and those that were not—along with all the birds and the small animals that scurry along the ground. They entered the boat in pairs, male and female, just as God had commanded Noah. [Genesis 7.6-9]

I will make this brief...

The ark serves as a beautiful picture of Christ. That said, should we not wonder why both clean and unclean animals were taken aboard the ark? It is because Jesus came to save not only Israel, but the whole world!

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. [John 3.16]

And here is that passage with a little clarity added: “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone [clean or unclean, Jew or Gentile] who believes in [enters the ark of] him will not perish but have eternal life.

And, the apostle Paul said this:

There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. [Galatians 3.28]

Pretty cool.

Father, thank You for Jesus. Thank You for allowing me to enter the ark of Christ and be saved!
