So on March 7 the two decrees of the king were put into effect. On that day, the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, but quite the opposite happened. It was the Jews who overpowered their enemies. [Esther 9.1]
Who knows what a difference a day might bring?
For all the different characters of this story a "day" quite literally made life or death differences. Mordecai, Haman, Haman's family, Jews, and Jew haters saw significant change in just a day.
As I write this early on this day, no matter what I think the outcome of this might be, I don't really know...
One thing stands out though... prayer and fasting changed the outcomes of individuals, families, and entire groups of people in a day. How might prayer and fasting change our day and the lives of those we pray for?
Father, may we be found praying and fasting so that Your power and change might be seen in and around us!
