Then Joshua asked them, “How long are you going to wait before taking possession of the remaining land the LORD, the God of your ancestors, has given to you? [Joshua 18.3]
We might just as easily ask ourselves this question today, considering all God's promises to us the same as the Promised Land to Israel.
To sit idly by wishing things were better is not what God wants for any of His children.
"Taking possession" is a proactive response.
God has promised forgiveness - we need to take it!
God has promised healing - we need to take it!
God has promised redemption from destruction - we need to take it!
God has promised to crown us with lovingkindness and tender mercies - we need to take it!
God has promised to satisfy our mouths with good things - we need to take it!
How long will we wait???
Father, help us to understand that we are not waiting for You, but that You are waiting for us...
