It Points To Jesus

Also, you must never accept a ransom payment for the life of someone judged guilty of murder and subject to execution; murderers must always be put to death. [Numbers 35.31]

If we can see it, this tells us the importance of Christ's substitutionary death for us.

As "law" goes, God is always consistent in His justice. Any leniency regarding justice at any point in history, negates the effect of Jesus' work on behalf of humanity.

That's about the best I can say it. It points to Jesus.

Father, I am grateful that every detail of the Bible points to Jesus and the significance of His existence (eternal existence, Advent, Crucifixion, & Resurrection).
