So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. [Hebrews 4.14-16]
The Word of God is amazing!
As I have been hearing from God in the last few days, it has come to my attention that grace and power are inseparable. They go together.
I see here today that when we come to God in boldness, we find "grace to help."
How could grace be of any help unless it is powerful? Ah! It couldn't! Grace is power toward man! Grace is truly amazing!
When God told the apostle Paul according to Paul's own account of it in 2 Corinthians that His grace was sufficient, He (God) meant it! All of God's power was available to Paul in His grace.
Look at what Paul himself had said elsewhere:
Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace... [Romans 4.16 KJV]
So, all of God's power is found in His grace, but grace, in the fullness of its power, is only accessed by faith. God's grace is of no effect to an unbeliever.
Oh, may we experience all of God's grace as we trust Him!
Father, I want to believe more! I want to trust You for everything in my life. Your grace is truly sufficient and I want my life to reflect that for all to see! So be it!
