He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. [John 1.10-13]
The world did not recognize Jesus when He was born. How much less would the world recognize Him today?
And, how much less does the world recognize Jesus today when He is not shown to them as He was when He was born?
It has become a cliché, but we are indeed the only Jesus most will ever see.
How much do people see Jesus in me?
How much do people see Jesus in you?
Father, may we constantly be reminded of the necessity of the world seeing Jesus in us.
