God's "Green" Statement

The earth mourns and dries up, and the land wastes away and withers. Even the greatest people on earth waste away. The earth suffers for the sins of its people, for they have twisted God’s instructions, violated his laws, and broken his everlasting covenant. Therefore, a curse consumes the earth. Its people must pay the price for their sin. They are destroyed by fire, and only a few are left alive. [Isaiah 24.4-6]

Here is God's "green" statement. But unlike all the "green" statements that corporations and entities today are making regarding man's physical actions, God's statement deals with man's spiritual actions.

Yes, God says that the earth suffers because of man's sin against Him.

The solution however does not involve science and technology. The solution will only be found when people acknowledge their sin and repent before God.

Preposterous?

Time will tell.

God said sin is why the earth suffers, and, Jesus likewise was clear what message would be for the salvation of the world:

It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’ [Luke 24.47]

The Bible's "green" statement predates every such statement today. The Bible predicted the earth's curse long before "climate watchdog" groups were even a thing.

Hmm. Imagine that. Who would have thought God was the original climate activist?

Father, may I be found abiding by Your "green" statement, the Bible. May I be found repentant for my sin and and sin of my people, humanity.
